It reflects years of working alongside young people who had stopped going to school, and the quiet, step-by-step change that grew through trust, relationships and persistence. From meetings in cars and parking lots to small movements back toward the classroom, these real-life moments became the foundation for a digital program designed to support parents and create lasting change at home.
There is a particular kind of difficulty in trying to express who you are and what you stand for through a screen. In social media posts. In polished sentences. In a business idea that is expected to be clear, marketable and easy to understand. Because the work we do does not live there. I have seen the change.
My professional life has been shaped by meeting young people who have stopped going to school. Young people who, for many different reasons, could no longer cross that threshold. I have met them in silence, in resistance, in fear and in exhaustion. And I have also seen something else.
I have seen change.
But real change.
Time and time again, progress has come through relationships. Through listening without rushing to fix. Through seeing the young person in front of me and letting them feel heard and understood. Through showing, again and again, that I am still here.
Often the work began far from the classroom. Sometimes it started in a car. Sometimes on a parking lot. One meeting there. The next one a little closer. Maybe standing outside the school entrance. Maybe stepping inside for a brief moment. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it did not. And when it did not, we tried again.
Step by step, we approached what felt impossible.
Real change happens step by step
It has always been about people.
It has never been something I have done on my own. Parents have been an essential part of every step forward. While I met students where they were, parents carried the work at home. They reflected, adjusted, encouraged and held on through setbacks. I guided them, supported them and walked alongside them but they did the daily work. Together – we created movement.
From real-life moments to a digital program
There is so much that parents can do from home. So much power in understanding the situation, in mapping patterns, in changing small things that slowly open doors. And that knowledge comes from years of seeing what actually helps.
Bringing real change to the screen
This program is our attempt to do just that. Not by pretending it is simple. Not by overselling. But by grounding it in real work, real relationships and real hope. Because I have seen what is possible.
